My experience: I enjoyed the yoga class and my experience was an adventurous one.
Prior to coming into the yoga class, I had taken several other yoga classes before at my
local gym. The difference I see between the yoga class at the college and the yoga
class at the gym is.. The yoga class at the gym was more do it yourself type of class.
The instructor stands in front of the class and just says the instructions meanwhile we
do the different yoga poses. That is because in my theory most people in the yoga class
at my local gym are a mix of intermediate and beginner yoga students. At the college
though since I am taking beginner yoga class 1 I see most students are beginners in
yoga through my observation. The professor was most intune with the class and
practiced the different yoga poses with us. I learn so much about the history of yoga and
the philosophy behind it when I am taking Yoga 1 class at my college. I felt more
educated in the yoga arts than I am taking a yoga class at my local gym.
