You are required to submit all elements of your assessment via Turnitin online access. Only
submissions made via the specified mode will be accepted and hard copies or any other digital
form of submissions (like via email or pen drive etc.) will not be accepted.

For coursework, the submission word limit is 2,500 words. You must comply with the word count
guidelines. You may submit LESS than 2,500 words but not more. Word Count guidelines can be
found on your programme home page and the coursework submission page.

Do not put your name or contact details anywhere on your submission. You should only put
your student registration number (SRN) which will ensure your submission is recognised in the
marking process.

2. Assessment Brief
This module is assessed through one graded element. You must achieve at least 50% to pass this
module.
By completing this assessment, you will the following learning outcomes (LOs):
• LO1: Critically reflect on key opportunities and challenges leaders face in leading complex
organisations through digital disruption.
• LO2: Understand how to sense changes, make informed decisions and adjust quickly in
highly disruptive times.
• LO3: Critically evaluate the significance of human factors and technologies to lead
transformation and create a digital-ready and innovative culture.
• LO4: Critically reflect on the mechanisms required to build teams and influence networks
in complex and interconnected digital organisations.
Assessment Scenario
For this assignment, you will create “A Case for Change” proposal report for the board of directors of
a large firm of YOUR CHOICE. You must critically evaluate and recommend digital changes your
organisation must implement in order to retain, innovate, and increase its market competitiveness.
Task 1 (LO1): Organisation analysis (20 marks; LO1)

Provide a clear background to your chosen organisation, including the type of
organisation, size of the organisation, range of products or services, customer base and
which markets it operates.
Identify and critically analyse current technological challenges your organisation is
currently facing (some areas of focus could be operation, marketing, consumer insight,
data visualisation etc)
With challenges come opportunities – evaluate and present clear digital transformation
opportunities that can be used to mitigate the above challenges. Task 2 (LO2): Gaining
Digital Business Agility (30 marks)
Provide your firm with advice on the activities and digital technologies that your selected company can
employ to achieve Digital Business Agility by utilising the model created by the Global Centre for Digital
Business Transformation (2018).
You must specifically suggest at least one initiative that can be put into practice and one digital
technology (such as machine learning, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, virtual/augmented
reality, and so on) that can be used for each of the three components of the Digital Business Agility
Model: Hyperawareness, Making Informed Decisions, and Executing Quickly.

By leveraging on the features of a digital-ready culture identified by the World Economic Forum (2021),
critically evaluate and advise your chosen organisation on how a digital-ready culture can be instilled
in order to support its digital transformation. Specifically, for this task, you need to advise on how your
organisation can create a digital-ready culture by:

initiative that will be implemented to break silos between teams and departments in order to
incentivise collaboration.
With the support of academic literature and real case examples, use the GROW model to illustrate
your approach.
