Offer enough information for someone to read your
infographic and learn what the policy will do for
them, how, and when, and where to go for help or
questions. Also, notice how the graphics show people
or a place or some other aspect of the policy that
makes sense to the policy you showcase.
DETAILS
An infographic combines a selection of information
with a selection of images, with the goal of
communicating the most crucial of both to a specific
audience. The audience always consists of
stakeholders, and the information is always relevant to
those stakeholders. The goal of an infographic is to
break down barriers to entry by making relevant
information accessible to ALL stakeholders. An
infographic is successful it answers the following
questions:
1. What is the policy
2. Who does this help (or harm)?
3. When is this implemented, or which dates
should we keep in mind?
4. Where is or will this policy be implemented?
5. Where or to whom can I direct questions?
6. What is the call to action or invitation to join
the effort?
RUBRIC
Your performance will be based on how well you
answer each or most of the above questions, and how
well you integrate appropriate graphics. The graphics
you select should be relevant to the specific policy
you select. The info should be just enough to answer
the questions. Avoid jargon; use plain language.
