expenses surpassing $31 billion in 2015 for nonfatal falls. Medicare has even classified falls as a
“never event”, emphasizing that fall prevention is not only imperative for ensuring patient safety
but also for significantly advancing the healthcare industry’s economic prospects. Falls are not
only more prevalent in the elderly population but also more deadly, with one in five falls
resulting in severe injuries, including fatalities (Kruschke & Butcher, 2017). This underscores

In the evidence-based practice article, “Falls Prevention for Older Adults,” the author
