Guiding Questions
Use these questions and notes as a guide to complete your assignment requirements.
1. What K-12 grade level are you designing the curriculum for? Choose the grade-level of the students: elementary, middle-school, and high school students.
2. Why did you choose this level? Explain your specific choice.
3. Is the content adjusted to the grade level? The level of content for your problem-centered curriculum should be adjusted based on the different grade levels.
4. What are the demographics of your student body?
If you are currently teaching, describe the demographic make-up of your students. Discuss their performance scores as they pertain to the state standards.
If you are not teaching, then select a local school and research some information about the school.
5. What do you think students already know about the topic? Based on your chosen grade level, what kind of prior knowledge can you assume?
6. What is the make-up of the teachers in the school?
