Susan Glaspell is an American playwriter, journalist, actress, and novelist. (July 1, 1876 July 28, 1948). With her husband George Cram Cook, she founded the Provincetown Players, the first modern American theatre company. (Ben-Zvi 2007) (Ozieblo 2008)
