Social Psychological Principles Apply to Every Day Life Discussion

The purpose of the paper assignment is to encourage you to think about how the social psychological theories and concepts you’ve learned about in this course apply to every day life.
For this paper, you should choose an event or an interaction in your own life and discuss how the material from the course applies to that event or interaction (you may choose more than one event or interaction if you wish). Specifically, you will identify 3 social psychological principles that seem to be operating in the events or individuals described (e.g., deindividuation, conformity). For the purposes of this paper, any of the terms defined in the margins of your textbook (Aronson, Wilson, & Akert, 2016) will be considered a psychological principle.
For each principle that you identify:
a) briefly describe the relevant event(s) or interaction(s) (try to keep this description concise–no more than half a page is needed for each event/interaction description)
b) describe the social psychological principle that you see as relevant (use your textbook and/or your lecture notes as the basis for this information, but you need to indicate where you obtained the information (i.e., Aronson et al., 2016 or Heath, 2018) and make sure that everything is in your own words). Make sure you explain how the event/interaction is an illustration of the principles you have described.
General Information about the Paper:
Be sure to include a short introduction to the paper to orient your reader (i.e., a brief overview of the event and a statement of which specific theories you are going to apply) as well as a brief conclusion at the end that provides an overall summary. Make sure you include transitions between paragraphs. The paper should be approximately 3-5 pages (not including the title page or the reference page). Be sure to provide all of the information in your own words (the only exception to this is that you may quote Aronson et al. (2016) or Heath (2018) when providing a definition of the psychological concept(s)–provide quotation marks when using someone else’s exact words). In addition, make sure that your paper is free of grammatical and spelling errors.
